Night at the Olympia theater in Valencia. Full house and the audience wanting to reunite with one of his favorite actors, Luis Merlo. Away from the stage a few months ago, the actor returns to top form to embody Allan, character neurotic, lonely, and lack of love for not knowing how to treat women and whose wife just left. Addicted to aspirin and critical in a film magazine, Allan unexpectedly find love Linda, the wife of his best friend Frank, played by a great Maria Barranco. "Play it again, Sam" is a play based on a famous story of Woody Allen. British director Tamzin Townsend, with the brilliant acting work, we have a unique piece, round, where all the emotions pass like a burst that reaches the viewer and where the time function becomes a breeze. As a viewer and lover of the theater, there is no better feeling than getting up from his chair to applaud the cast and stay hungry for more.
The work has an impeccable rhythm. Great work by the director Tamzin Townsend, demonstrating once again, as he did with "A Wild God", the important thing of a play is not so much lighting or scenery, but an excellent text and actors who leave the skin on stage enjoying their characters and making the audience enjoy. Luis Merlo again demonstrates why it is one of the most beloved actors from the public. Exudes charisma and a way to play this character very believable and personal. María Barranco is also brilliant in her role as Linda and has a natural talent for comedy.
